On November 3rd, the third session of Pharmacy Administration and Pharmacotherapeutics Committee Meeting was convened at our hospital. President Li Changqin, Deputy president Jia Qingwei, Yang Xiaowen, Wang Junqin and members from Medical Affairs Department, Nursing Department, Office of Infection Control, Medical Lab, Pharmacy Office and directors from clinical departments attended the meeting which was hosted by deputy president Yang Xiaowen.
Director Geng Tao from Pharmacy Office made work summery on Pharmacy Administration, Supplemental Drug Administration and Comments on Prescriptions at Outpatient and Emergency Department on the third quarter of 2017; deputy director Liu Gang from Medical Affairs Department did the work report on Antibiotics Administration on the third quarter of 2017 on behalf of Antimicrobial Administration Organization. There were three pharmacists from Gastroenterology Department, Oncology Department and ICU made special comments on proton pump inhibitor, antineoplastic drugs, and antibacterial drugs.
President Li Changqin did the summery at the end of the meeting, he said that the topic of this meeting is rational usage of drugs, pharmacists from Pharmacy Office and Medical Affairs Department did a lot of works on the development of rational usage of drugs and made some achievements, but the irrational usage is still existing; we should fully understand the definition of rational usage of drugs, correctly select drugs by the guidance of clinical treatment and norm of diagnosis and treatment, all the relevant departments should work together to maintain the healthy development of our hospital.
