August 19, 2018 is China's first "Chinese Medical Doctor's Day ", our hospital held Celebration of the First "Chinese Medical Doctor's Day" and Awards in the Academic Report Hall. Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President Li Changqin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Hu Jiangong, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Niu Yuzhen, Deputy President Jia Qingwei, Yang Xiaowen, Xiao Qiang, Wang Junqin together with Directors, Deputy Director, Leaders for Medical Groups from the departments and Physician Representatives attended the ceremony. The ceremony was hosted by Deputy President Yang Xiaowen.
Hu Jiangong announced “Commendation Decision of 2018 Outstanding Doctor and Outstanding Young Doctors”, “Commendation Decision of 2017-2018 Outstanding Teachers for Standard Training for Resident Doctors Program” and “Commendation Decision of 2017-2018 Outstanding Students of Standard Training for Resident Doctors Program. The representatives of outstanding doctors, outstanding teachers and students of Standard Training for Resident Doctors Program, and outstanding groups of Young Doctor Knowledge Contest were awarded by leaders.
Provincial outstanding doctor representative Zhang Xinhuan, hospital outstanding doctor representative Liu Haiyan, and hospital outstanding young doctor representative Zheng Wei made a statement respectively. They said that they would adhere to professional ethics, dedicate to their works, keep improving themselves, continue to serve the people's health wholeheartedly, and make further contribution to the high-quality development of our hospital.
Li Changqin extended festival greeting and gratitude to 760 doctors and their family members. He said that it is important to set up “Chinese Medical Doctor's Day” and all the medical workers would have their own festival after General Party Secretary Xi Jinping made an important requirement on August 8 who required all the party committees, government bodies, and the whole society should respect medical workers all of which reflected the caring from the Party Central Committee and highly affirmation to the achievement made by medical workers. Li Changqin made three requirements. Firstly, we should learn to be grateful and living up to the trust from the society. We must cherish the special honors given by the party and the people, live up to their trust, live up to the important duties of the patient's life and continue to be the health guards of the people's satisfaction; secondly, we should create a good atmosphere for respecting medical workers and medical professions. The doctor team is an important backbone of the hospital's development, it is necessary to increase the propaganda of outstanding doctors and advanced models, and give full play to the role of demonstration, build a strong atmosphere of respecting doctors, and enhance the sense of professional honor and belonging of medical staff; it is necessary to strengthen the construction and training of the doctors' talent team, build a platform for them, provide more and better opportunities for the doctors and focus on building a team of doctors with high medical ethics and excellent medical skills; thirdly, we should never forget our original mission and carry it forward. Medical personnel must implement various core systems such as medical quality and medical safety, constantly standardize diagnosis and treatment behaviors, and continuously improve medical quality and service levels. At the same time, we should implement medical reform deployment from all levels, provide more reasonable, scientific and standardized clinical medication and medical treatment and make more contribution to the review of Tertiary Comprehensive Hospital and high-quality development of our hospital with practical actions.
Yang Xiaowen required all the doctors to take the first doctor's day as a new starting point, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, remember the doctor's vows, deepen the medical reform, pay close attention to medical quality, improve the technical level, abide by medical ethics, and practice the benevolence, provide high quality services to improve people's health and well-being.
