From December 3 to 5, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Shandong Health Commission, a team of seven experts from the Shandong Provincial Hospital Rating Review Working Group conducted a three-day on-site review of our hospital. The expert group carried out serious, rigorous, comprehensive and meticulous inspections of the hospital. On the morning of December 5th, the expert group leader Wang Sheng announced that the on-site evaluation results of the Affiliated Hospital of Taishan Medical College met the requirements of the First-class Ternary General Hospital and passed the review on behalf of the on-site evaluation experts.
On the morning of December 3, the review team heard the hospital work report. Deputy President Peng Chunlei of Taishan Medical College, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee Ni Qingbin and Director of Department of Medical Administration Li Zhenyu from Tai'an Municipal Health and Planning Committee, the hospital leadership team and the heads of the main functional departments attended the meeting. At the meeting, Peng Chunlei and Ni Qingbin respectively delivered welcoming remarks and welcomed their review and guidance. They also briefly introduced the achievements of the hospital in serving the local people and the development of health and education, and hoped the hospital could achieve a new round of high-quality development with the guidance from the experts group. Li Changqin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the hospital made a work report of the overall situation of hospital standardization construction, the preparation for the review, the standardization of hospital construction and continuous improvement, and the exiting problems and further working concepts.
During the review, experts are divided into 7 groups, and they conducted a comprehensive inspection and evaluation through listening to reports, consulting materials, on-site inspections, interviews, on-site assessments, and follow-up inspections in accordance with the criteria of the First-class Ternary General Hospital. The experts' attitude of seeking truth from facts and the spirit of seriousness and responsibility have set an example for our staff.
On the morning of December 5th, the feedback meeting was held in the Academic Lecture Hall. Wang Sheng, leader of the expert group, presided over the feedback meeting. At the meeting, experts offered feedbacks of the inspection on the aspects of on-site evaluation contents, work highlights, existing problems, and improvement suggestions. The inspection team experts agreed that our hospital attaches great importance to the hospital standardization construction and the re-examination of First-class Ternary General Hospital, takes the review as a good opportunity to promote the hospital's work, and focuses on the theme of “Quality, Safety, Service, Adminstration and Performance”. At the same time, the experts pointed out the problems and deficiencies found in the inspection, and put forward rectification suggestions on the problems, which created a solid guarantee for the hospital to continuously improve the work, improve the service capacity, and better serve the health of the people.
Li Changqin made a statement on behalf of the hospital. On behalf of the 2,082 employees, he expressed his gratitude to the experts for their objective, impartial and meticulous inspection and meticulous guidance. He also thanked the governments and leaders at all levels for their long-term care and support for the hospital’s works, thanked the locals for their trust and understanding, and thanked the medical staff and their families who have dedicated wisdom and hard work for the development of the hospital. Li Changqin pointed out that hospital standardization construction would never end. The problems raised by experts and suggestions for rectifications are the inexhaustible driving force for promoting our healthy development, innovation and continuous improvement. We need to analyze and rectify the problems in order to form a long-term mechanism for standardization construction. We are fully aware that we still have a lot of deficiencies. Our road to secondary entrepreneurship is still far from completion. We must remember our initial missions and work hard to build the hospital into a regional medical center.
On behalf of the Tai'an Municipal Health and Planning Commission, Ni Qingbin expressed his gratitude to the experts for their hard work and careful guidance. He pointed out that the Hospital should take the review as an opportunity to seriously rectify the problems raised by the experts, formulate effective rectification measures, set up reforms, and ensure that the rectification work is effective. It is necessary to profoundly understand the suggestions put forward by the expert group, further strengthen the connotation construction, continue to implement the CPC Party and state health policies, strengthen social functions, deepen reforms, and integrate PDCA continuous improvement concepts into our hospital. Normalized hospital management mechanism will escort the health and economic and social development of the local people and make new and greater contributions to the development of the city's medical and health undertakings.
Finally, group leader Wang Sheng pointed out that there is no terminus for the standardization of our hospital. He hoped that all the workers would sort out the existing problems, promote the hospital's work to a new level, and unremittingly promote the development of the province's health undertakings and safeguard the health of the people.
