On July 2, delegates from International Training Program on Leprosy which was sponsored by the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of
China
and organized by Shandong Institute of Dermatology and STD Prevention and Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences) came to visit our hospital. President Li Changqin took part in the communication with the comrades from functional departments.
The delegates visited the Medical Imaging Department, Neonatology Department, Spine Surgery Department and Department of Dermatology. They learned the talents information, technical strength, equipment configuration and the quality of nursing service of the corresponding departments. The interpreters introduced the main work of the department to the delegates and conducted on-the-spot communication with them. After the visit, the delegates expressed their gratitude to our hospitality.
It is reported that the "International Training Program on Leprosy Prevention and Control Technology in Developing Countries" officially started in Tai’an on June 24. It was the first international training program commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Technology after the establishment of Shandong First Medical University (Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences). The students were fully funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, it served as an international platform for the learning of prevention and control technologies on leprosy.
